Description
Time to submit another stamp, even though I can't use it myself...
Show your support for APNG (Animated PNG) with this one.
Q: What is APNG?
A: An (unofficial) extension to the PNG image format* to allow animation with support for 32bit frames (lots of colors + true 8bit transparency) and backwards compatibility with PNG.
If you are using a decent browser then you should see an animated stamp saying that your browser supports APNG.
If your browser is old or sub-par then you'll see a static stamp that says your browser does not support APNG.
Since APNG is backwards compatible with PNG, a program that supports PNG but not APNG will display the first frame. A feature of APNG allows the author to tell programs that support it to skip the first frame, making this possible.
If you are seeing the animated stamp then your browser does support APNG and you can click here to see some awesome APNGs. My favorite is the spinning Firefox logo.
¡Muchas gracias to ~Kencho for his Stamp Template I used!
*In order to maintain backwards compatibility APNG violates §5.2 of the ISO PNG spec which states that the PNG signature indicates that the remainder of the datastream contains a single PNG image. On April 20, 2007 the PNG Group rejected APNG as an official extension.
