so i'm new at this.. how do you use it?
cause i've seen some people have them on their profiles and stuff, but i don't know how that's done..

That's ok. You have to be a subscriber to use them on your profile. If you did have a subscription you would use the thumb code next to the artist comments. You can also put it on another website, like MySpace, with the "Embed" code that's right above the thumb code.

FAQ #80: Can I add thumbnails to my journal?
